The Mayberry foundation is a 501C3 nonprofit organization that was birthed out of my personal story of failure and struggle with crime, violence, incarceration etc. a story that is harrowing and disturbing but filled with hope, inspiration and impact that can help countless others.
My goal is to utilize all of my experience for a larger purpose of creating the needed change in my community and city by being part of the solution. While I am remorseful to the for the actions brought forth by me, I also know that I must continue to support my remorse with actions.
Human hands can set out to cause harm onto others and bring destruction to a community or even an entire city. Those same hands in partnership with seeds and fungi, direction and community-based initiative can overcome it in a relatively short period. We can rebuild, remake and transform sickly lands into thriving living communities
I am committed through the Mayberry foundation to rebuild, remake, and transform the inner city into a resilient self-sustainable ecosystem while leaving a valuable legacy for future generations to come.
We are a 501c3 Organization founded with the sole mission of “striving to improve the quality of human life and effect change by tackling mental health, poverty and hunger” ONE EVENT AT A TIME!
We are “committed to the health and wellness of our future - building hope and stronger communities” ONE EVENT AT A TIME!
A Career Exploratory Workshop/Program that is on a mission to expose children, teens and students in inner city communities and schools to elusive career opportunities through participation in dynamic & cross cultural experiences. We want to help them connect the dots between who they are and the possibilities that exist.
The Mayberry Foundation launch its Back-to-School Backpack Initiative in 2013 with the goal of closing the educational gap for K-12 students and ensuring that every child has access to learning tools that will allow them to achieve academic success, regardless of their family’s income or racial/ethnic identity.
The Mayberry Foundation goal is to help build resilient self-sustaining communities. The concept of Phase 1.1 is designed to help empower, promote and bring excitement to established community and school gardening programs through events hosted by The Mayberry Foundation at the garden itself.
